September 2026 Honoree
Shaneka Robinson, RN, BSN
Ms. Shaneka Robinson explained the dangers of not taking my prescription meds as prescribed and explained that I should always tell my doctor how much pain I’m in so my dose can be adjusted properly for the safety of my baby girl. I have been feeling so lost and hopeless during this pregnancy…and like a bad mother because of my having to take strong painkillers (I have many complications). Ms. Shaneka went above and beyond for me (she spent 40 or so precious minutes) encouraging me and strengthening my heart and spirit. I felt loved and so very cared for. She made me laugh (which I haven’t done in such a long time because of the hardness of this pregnancy), helped me use the bathroom, fed me a wonderful meal (I was so very hungry), and gave me lots of items to take care of myself while I am in the hospital. She has blessed my heart tremendously and deserves to be acknowledged and honored for her beautiful service and heart. I thank God for her, and I pray God blesses her and her beautiful family! Thank you so much, Norfolk General, for having a jewel work for you!
Thank you, Shaneka, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
