When my husband and I first arrived back on the 6th floor because he was in the same space at the end of the year, he was not in the best spirits. He had heard nothing but “Bad News,” as he called it, since he arrived back on the 6th floor this year. Nurse Shanee Roache’s shift began, and she came laughing and joking with my husband, which is something he enjoys. I watched the life spark up in him. All of a sudden, the sadness left, and joy came. When she left his room, his conversation with me was all positive talk. To me, this is the first step to healing. He and I look forward to Nurse Shanee's arrival. I believe when she prepares her day at home, she prepares her heart, lunch, and desire in the same bag. There is nothing like hope. It can move mountains, heal a broken heart, change directions, and deliver joy when it is so desperately needed. We thank you so much for helping my husband’s heart start healing and showing him the way to move a mountain. You, Nurse Shanee Roache, are awesome!
