Shamim took care of me day after day cheerfully putting up with my tears, my impatience, my questions, and respecting my need for quiet.
Shamim was so thoughtful, very good about getting my medicine on time, helpful to me by taking me back and forth to bed. Her attitude was always upbeat. Great personality.

Shamim goes above and beyond in every aspect of her job. She is always cheerful, helpful, and quick to explain meds or answer questions about care or tests. She is extremely timely when giving meds and making certain her patients aren’t in any pain. She is thoughtful, kind, and has a lovely sense of humor. She also expedited my discharge as I had a ride that could only make it at a specific time (she had to get to work) so Shamim made certain my discharge happened when I needed it to. She was my nurse for 4 days and was as excited for me when my condition improved as I was. She is truly deserving and EXTRAORDINARY!!

I had surgery on my stomach. I have had several different nurses in my room and I have found Shamim to be very attentive to my needs and very helpful. I can tell when she’s not here taking care of me. She goes out of her way to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need before she leaves for the evening. When she’s not here the wait is longer before they come to see what you want. She’s pleasant to talk to and she explains things to you where “you” can understand. She’s an asset to John Muir Health. I wish there were more of her working here! She’ll be truly missed. “Can I take her home with me” (LOL). Seriously, she’s a blessing to your establishment. I am grateful to God that I had an angel on my side! Thank you.

Shamim is a fantastic nurse! She took care of me day after day cheerfully putting up with my tears, my impatience, my questions, and respecting my need for quiet. She had a sunny disposition and used it to dispense laughter, the best medicine. She frequently told me she loved her job, but she didn’t have to say it – she showed it! By her attitude she demonstrated that she genuinely cared for her patients – arranging pillows, delivering meds on time, keeping the lines of communication open between patients and doctors. Even if it meant a late lunch for herself, she worked without a word of complaint until her patients were settled even helping co-workers to finish their tasks. She’s a great team player! She deserves to be paid well but her nursing skills of kindness and caring are worth more than any amount can buy. Shamim is one of a kind!

I must say that the care I received was above and beyond, in particular Shamim, I had several abdominal hernias removed and so I was experiencing a high level of pain. Shamim really helped me push through it and do my breathing exercises with a little humor and a steadfast attitude. I feel that I made my strongest advance due to her. All my nurses and CNAs were kind and personable. I have not one complaint as I said I felt strongly that Shamim navigated me to well-being.
