I am honored to recognize my labor and delivery nurse (Serenity) because she provided the most extraordinary care during one of the most vulnerable and intense moments of my life.

During my labor, she went far beyond her duties. She stayed by my side when I was scared and overwhelmed, offering constant reassurance and comfort. She didn’t just care for me physically; she truly cared about me as a person, and it showed. Her presence made me feel safe when everything felt uncertain and scary.

What stands out most is how she advocated for me when I couldn’t advocate for myself. In moments when I didn’t have the strength or clarity to speak up, she made sure my voice was still heard. That level of compassion and attentiveness is something I will never forget.

After my delivery, she quickly recognized signs of bleeding before it became a full hemorrhage. Because of her vigilance and quick action, a potentially life-threatening situation was caught early, and I’ll always be so grateful for her. Her skill, awareness, and decisiveness made a critical difference in my safety and recovery.

She truly embodies what it means to be a nurse: compassionate, attentive, skilled, and deeply dedicated to her patients!

I will always be grateful for the care she gave me, and I’m so glad that someone like her is there so other women in situations that can be so scary can feel just as safe as I did.

I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.
