I came in very sick, with a fever and a cough. I have AML leukemia. One morning, I was told I would be in the hospital longer, and it put me into a little bit of depression. When Savannah came in at 7 am, she saw that I was having a bad morning. She talked to me for a little bit, making sure I was ok. She came to my room several times in between doing her job as my nurse just to be sure that I was ok.

At about 7:15 pm, after Savannah’s shift had ended, she asked if she could put some Christmas decorations up in my room to help cheer me up and help my stay better. Savannah decorated my room for me. Her kindness went above and beyond. Savannah was a charge nurse today, and they were short-handed, and Savannah showed how kind and compassionate she is. Savannah made me cry by showing me how much she cares. She is, by far, an amazing nurse and human being. Savannah is such an extraordinary nurse and person. Thank you for this chance to nominate Savannah.
