Savannah’s sweet and kind disposition put me at ease during a particularly hard day during my recovery.
On Day 6 of being in this hospital, I was so upset, I was in the same gown from surgery, never even got to wash my face, my hair was in knots, and I smelled so bad. The nurses, the day before, said I needed to be nicer to them. Well, I was afraid to say anything, but the next day came Savannah, and right away she could tell right away what was wrong. She washed my hair, changed my gown, and helped me wash down. She is the only one who listens and takes time with me.
No matter how busy she is, she always stops to listen. She helped me to set goals each day, even with meds. I am going on Day 11, and I want to go home so bad, and she is the only one helping me to reach my goals. I see that she is also taking time to help my aide. These two girls live for their job. Their hearts are so big; if it wasn’t for them, I would never want to be here. Maybe Savannah could teach the rest of them. She knows what it takes to be a nurse.
Savannah’s sweet and kind disposition put me at ease during a particularly hard day during my recovery. She patiently answered all my questions as I waited for the doctors to make their rounds to give me an idea of what I could anticipate. That level of passionate patient care is invaluable to me, as someone who hasn’t been a hospital patient before and was feeling anxious about the entire hospitalization process. I can’t thank Savannah enough for going above and beyond in her interactions with me to make sure I was comfortable while under her care.
