Sarah has been an RN for over 20 years. I have observed the amazing and compassionate care she has given to her patients. One incident made me see even more what an amazing person and nurse she is.
Sarah was getting ready to drive home and on the road in front of her was a man lying face down in the street. His wife was screaming and no one else was there yet. Sarah immediately without even blinking an eye stopped her car and ran out to help; she performed CPR and helped EMS when they arrived. This happened near Metro Hospital on a busy afternoon and she put herself in danger to help another life. She then drove the wife to the emergency room and preceded to help call the family for the wife. When she saw the wife and patient were in good hands she left.
The admirable thing about this situation is not only trying to save another human life and putting hers in danger but also that Sarah did not tell anyone. This was found out by another RN. Sarah has done many of these types of things in her life but never talked about them. She is humble and will never admit how amazing she is.

Thank you, Sarah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
