I cannot recommend Sarah's work highly enough; she is an excellent professional.
I met Sarah Voth at Confluence Health in Wenatchee, Washington. Sarah was our day shift nurse for the 2 days that my baby, my husband, and I were staying at the hospital after my delivery. My baby was in the lowest 10th percentile for her gestational age. Because she was so small, it was very important that we were able to nurse well before we left the hospital. Learning how to nurse my baby was quite challenging for me and her. Sarah's help teaching us how to nurse made all the difference in the world. Even though Sarah was acting as the day shift nurse, Sarah had all the expertise of a lactation consultant.
Getting my baby to latch well was really hard, and some of the traditional nursing positions didn’t work well. Sarah's expertise in more creative nursing positions made all the difference in whether feeding was a failure or a success. Sarah was so incredibly helpful in getting me and my baby on a good track with nursing and helping my husband get involved so that we could be successful in making sure my baby had proper nutrition after we left the hospital. If it wasn't for Sarah's help, I might not have been able to breastfeed my baby going forward. Sarah's care for us was above and beyond what we expected, and she taught us many topics. She was very understanding and made sure that our needs were met and that we felt heard and cared for. I cannot recommend Sarah's work highly enough; she is an excellent professional. In a way, Sarah felt like a mom and a cheerleader to me as I transitioned from being a pregnant mom to a nurturing mom looking after my baby, which is a huge change. Sarah is humble, kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and has a servant's heart. She deserves to be recognized for her outstanding care. Thank you, Sarah!
