...her calm, sweet personality is a blessing for the families at the bedside as they entrust their loved ones to her care.
Sarah is intelligent, kind, caring, and inspiring! She has flourished in critical care, where she demonstrates amazing skills as a critical care nurse at the bedside, caring and advocating for her patients, working with the critical care team to manage the most seriously ill patients in a very smooth and effective manner. At the same time, her calm, sweet personality is a blessing for the families at the bedside as they entrust their loved ones to her care.
Sarah has also been an amazing asset to our Rapid Response Team, and her evaluation and treatment skills are valued all over the hospital. They praise her ability to share information and educate without putting anyone down or making them feel uncomfortable when asking for help. In addition to this role, we also added Charge Nurse to Sarah's duties, and again, she shines! Juggling two units, telemetry, and various crises throughout the day, Sarah manages to do this with confidence and a smile.
But wait, there is more... She is also the Chair for our Unit Base Council and has been for multiple years (even though it is usually a one-year term). She has led many projects to benefit our patients and our unit and is currently working on a mobility project to help our patients get up and moving earlier, preventing issues of immobility and getting them back home with their families sooner with increased strength.
Sarah is an amazing example of what an excellent nurse looks like and most definitely deserves the DAISY Award! We are lucky to have her as a team member!
