From the very beginning of my care, Sarah Fantin from Labor and Delivery was friendly, kind, and always greeted me with a smile. Little did I know that her kindness would mean so much more to me during one of the most terrifying experiences of my life.

I unexpectedly found out that I had only an hour before needing an emergency C-section. Sarah remained calm and collected as she helped prepare me for surgery. When I entered the operating room, I was cold, scared, and afraid of what was about to happen. As I received my spinal, Sarah offered me her hands to squeeze and calmly guided me through each step.

After surgery, Sarah stayed with me throughout my recovery. She then took me to the NICU so I could see my baby. While there, things suddenly took a turn, and my blood pressure bottomed out. It was the scariest moment of my life. Once again, Sarah was right there. She remained calm, acted quickly, and comforted me through one of the most frightening moments I have ever experienced. What could have been an overwhelming and terrifying experience was made a little easier because Sarah was there. Her compassion, calm presence, and quick thinking made an incredible difference to me and my family. I will forever be grateful for the care she gave me when I needed it most. Sarah truly went above and beyond, and she is incredibly deserving of the DAISY Award. We will never forget

Thank you, Sarah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
