Sarah has demonstrated a strong commitment to the University of Maryland School of Nursing core values, civility, collaboration, diversity, excellence and knowledge, providing compassion, respective and empathetic care for patients and their families.  Sarah conducted an educational session about the LGBTQ population to the unit staff during her practicum to improve the sensitivity and understanding of the unique care needs of this population.  Sarah serves as an advocate supporting patients and their unique needs.
