Sarah – a member of our Nurse Residency Program – was nominated for lifting the spirits of a patient who was struggling to cope with their hospital stay. After being admitted, the patient struggled to prioritize their health and well-being. Sarah quickly realized the patient’s need for attention and encouragement. Her act of kindness had a profound impact on the patient's stay.

“She came into my room and saw that I needed care, attention, and encouragement to live,” the nominator says. “I believe without her help and care, my stay here may not have been what it has turned into. My thought process to kinda want to live has changed, and I want to become a much better person.”
