Sara went above and beyond when a known patient to our unit called needing help on a Friday evening, stating he was suicidal with a plan. Sara stayed on the phone with this patient for over an hour while other staff members assisted in contacting PD, friends, and family to ensure he received the help and care he desperately needed.

Sara stayed on the phone with this patient until EMS arrived and he was receiving care. Sara was utterly calm, caring, supportive, and reassuring to the patient throughout the conversation despite several barriers. She was awesome, and that patient is alive today because of Sara ensuring his safety and needs.
