Sara's shift was over at 7 but she stayed until 9:30 to hold my hand and talk to me to keep me from getting anxious while I breathed on my own and then came in that night to see I had the tube out.
Sara is the only reason I got the breathing tube out. She took the time to ask me why I was having problems breathing on my own on the breathing machine and waited for me to write an answer. The doctors weren't letting me breathe on my own until after dialysis and therapy and by then I was exhausted and couldn't do it. Sara got the doctors to switch me over to breathing on my own first thing in the morning and had dialysis schedule me for the afternoon instead of the morning. Her shift was over at 7 but she stayed until 9:30 to hold my hand and talk to me to keep me from getting anxious while I breathed on my own and then came in that night to see I had the tube out. She was the only one who took the time to listen to me and make sure I was okay. Tell her she still owes me those wings she was talking about.
