Sara Chamberlain, LPN

Sara makes herself available to help however needed. She is efficient in her work. She does her job quickly without sacrificing the quality of care we receive or making us feel rushed. She is always willing to contact outside companies for specialty services for my children. My 10-year-old daughter was scheduled to get tubes placed in her ears at Children's Mercy. Several months before the scheduled procedure, she had another ear infection along with a viral infection. She never seemed to recover all the way after her illness. I took her in to see her pediatrician at Mosaic a few times, and we tried increasing her protein intake and a few other small things to help her recover. The week of her procedure, I just did not feel right about putting her under anesthesia. Something felt off, so I reached out to the pediatrician's office again. Sara was so kind and never made me feel crazy for postponing the procedure and asking for lab work. Sara and her coworker helped set up lab work and kept me informed of the results. My daughter ended up being admitted to Children's Mercy and was diagnosed with Lupus nephritis. Sara has gone above and beyond by researching my daughter's symptoms, asking me questions, and checking on us while we were in the hospital. It is comforting to know that my daughter has a nurse who is willing to learn new things for the specific purpose of helping my child. Sara is truly a gift!
