In an unexpected series of events, we found ourselves having our son at 34 weeks via c-section. Many nurses made the whole process a lot less intimidating. While getting through the part that focused on me was a lot, it paled in comparison to having our son admitted to the NICU for the foreseeable future. The first time we visited him, Sandy was there as an encouraging and honest resource. She's been a constant source of straightforward information and has shown that she truly is there for the babies and their families. She has made us feel comfortable by keeping us informed about his progress, as well as the nerve-wracking process of learning how to interact with our child, who is at such a delicate stage. She is consistently the person who responds to his needs to ensure he's growing and set up for success. We are beyond grateful to her for her steadfast devotion to our son and her ability to support us as nervous parents eagerly awaiting his arrival home.
