My son, unfortunately, fell out of a swing on the school playground and broke his arm today. He got to see the same team at urgent care that’s seen him before (they are always so calm and caring), and Sandy was awesome. She really went above and beyond in spending time with him and talking to him. He went in, in so much pain and scared, and left with a new best friend. She made his day good again and helped him forget the scary parts. She gave him such a gift with trust and caring- and that’s something that can’t be faked. She’s the real deal when it comes to outstanding nursing. We have been through your doors so many times, and a lot of them have involved trauma- a few have involved not great provider experiences. People like Sandy help to erase those more negative experiences and make the Children’s Hospital a place where kids feel safe.
