August 2025 Honoree
Samantha Smith 2025, DNAP, CRNA
Samantha was my CRNA the night I delivered my twin girls. My condition quickly deteriorated, and suddenly, the situation I was in became very scary. I remember hearing Samantha's voice advocating for me. I recall hearing her take control of the situation as I was moved back into the OR. I was scared that I wasn't going to survive. Samantha was so comforting, and I believe she saved my life. I feel she was placed in that room with me to protect me. It's been nearly 4 years since my girls were born, and when I look at them, I'm often reminded of how lucky I am for Samantha's knowledge and skill. I believe I'm still here on this earth because of her. Thank you, Sam, for keeping me here to be the best mother I can to my two girls. I'm forever grateful for my time on this earth.
Thank you, Samantha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
