Sahr is an amazing patient advocate. He recognizes the challenges of working as a registered nurse in long-term care and promotes quality care through proper prioritization. 

Sahr shared a bond of the Philadelphia Eagles with the patient. The patient refused to eat and refused to engage in activities. Sahr spent time with the patient sitting with him and encouraging the patient to share his feelings. He negotiated with the patient that if he could eat and get up in the chair that he would address the patient's concerns with the staff. The patient did comply due to Sahr's compassion and excellent communication.

Sahr was able to understand that the patient didn't want to go back to his assisted living facility. Sahr contacted the nurse and social worker. He was able to encourage them to look for additional placement upon transfer and the team was incredibly thankful. The patient's sister specifically asked to speak to Sahr and thank him for his insight, compassion, and care.
