My sister was admitted; however, she did not receive care from Nurse Sabrina until the 3rd day of her stay. It was 8am and my sister was in extreme pain as Nurse Sabrina just walked in. During the duration of care with nurse Sabrina, she always walked in super politely, talked to my sister as she understood her pain and frustrations, and reassured her that everyone was doing more and more to figure out what was going on with her. Each time nurse Sabrina came back to check vitals and to answer my sister's page, she showed much compassion and understanding (almost as if she was in my sister's shoes); not once did her tone of voice ever change. She sat with my sister and tried to understand, listen, and put into action how she could help my sister better her discomfort. As she addressed concerns with my sister, she did the same with family. During all of this, nurse Sabrina remained calm and professional and still provided beyond exceptional care. I am proudly and gratefully nominating Nurse Sabrina just for the simple fact that she is someone who truly cares about making a difference.
