She has a heart of gold and demonstrates such compassion, attentiveness, and dedication to her patients.
I was admitted to the hospital for ulcerative colitis and C. diff. I was on several different medications, as well as slow-acting and fast-acting insulin. The combination of all the medications I was given caused my preexisting anxiety to reach extreme levels. I suffered from rapid heart rates that made me feel like my heart was going to pop out of my chest, and it felt like my COPD was getting worse to the point where I was scared to walk.
The only thing that calms me down during a panic attack is having my back rubbed slowly and lightly while talking about something calming. Not only did Rupi do that for me once, but she did it every twenty minutes, or whenever I needed it, throughout her entire shift. She never made me feel crazy or like I was a burden. Instead, she was extremely empathetic and made me feel like she genuinely cared about me.
Her patience and attention to detail stood out. She made sure I always had milk upstairs for my medications and that my drinks and snacks were available at all times. Any question I had was answered, and if she didn’t know the answer, she made sure to find it. No problem I had was ever too big or too small for her.
Rupi is truly a superwoman. She has a heart of gold and demonstrates such compassion, attentiveness, and dedication to her patients.
