The situation quickly caused panic among the patient’s relatives. Ruby immediately stepped in, offering calm reassurance, emotional support, and vigilant monitoring of the patient’s safety. Without hesitation, she escalated the situation to her senior leaders, coordinated with the attending physician, and worked with the Ministry of Health to ensure the patient’s safe transfer to a psychiatric hospital. Ruby remained at the bedside throughout the process—never leaving until the patient was safely and compassionately transferred. The next day, the patient’s family returned to personally thank her for her extraordinary kindness, composure, and dedication.
Beyond individual patient care, Ruby continues to inspire excellence within her team. Through her leadership, her unit achieved outperformance in all domains of the Press Ganey Survey for Q1 2025, making it the only general ward to achieve this distinction.
