From the very first time she cared for our baby, Rovelyn Pasko gave us something every parent hopes for during a NICU stay: peace of mind. Leaving your newborn at the hospital is one of the hardest things I, as a parent, have experienced, but because of her, I never questioned whether my baby was safe, loved, and receiving the very best care. She has such a calm, motherly presence that immediately put me at ease. She made me feel comfortable asking questions, always took the time to explain what was happening, and treated our baby with so much gentleness and love. Her compassion wasn't just something she showed to our baby; it extended to my husband and me as well.

What truly set her apart was the extra effort she made throughout the middle of the night. She would post updates on the AngelEye camera app, even though I know that is something nurses are not required to do. Waking up in the middle of the night and seeing those updates gave my husband and me an incredible sense of comfort and reassurance. Knowing our baby was doing well allowed us to rest, and that gift is something we will never forget.

Rovelyn consistently went above and beyond in ways both big and small. She made an overwhelming and emotional experience feel manageable, and because of her, I never felt consumed by fear or anxiety while my baby was in the NICU. I trusted her completely, and that trust meant everything during such a vulnerable time. She is the kind of nurse every parent hopes will care for their child. Her kindness, dedication, compassion, and genuine love for the babies and families she serves are evident in everything she does. She doesn't just provide excellent nursing care; she brings compassion, comfort, and reassurance to families when they need it most. She truly embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this recognition. Our family will always be grateful for the difference she made in our lives.
