Hace un mes operaron a mi madre de una oblación en el corazón. Lo que supuestamente iba a ser una operación sencilla terminó siendo un ingreso de una semana en la UCI y otra en planta.

Nadie se esperaba que hubiera una complicación de tal amplitud, y al ver a mi madre en la UCI así, se me cayó el mundo a los pies.

Los médicos y enfermeras de la UCI son personas muy buenas, pero sobre todo quiero recalcar la figura de una enfermera, Rosana Goñi. Desde el primer día estuvo preocupada por la salud y el estado de mi madre. También quiero agradecer su cariño y cercanía con toda la familia.

Cuando tienes a un familiar, y en este caso a tu madre ingresada, quieres saber todo sobre su estado y situación. Pasaban los médicos y, a veces, sus explicaciones se nos quedaban un poco lejanas… Rosana tenía una paciencia infinita y nos lo explicaba una y mil veces más, hasta que lo entendíamos.

Ha sido un gusto haber podido tener a personas como ella cerca en esos momentos tan duros.

De verdad, muchas gracias Rosana por tu cercanía y cariño. Lo escribo en mi nombre y en el de toda la familia.

A month ago, my mother underwent a cardiac ablation procedure. What was supposed to be a simple operation ended up resulting in a one-week stay in the ICU, followed by another week in a regular ward.

No one expected a complication of such magnitude; seeing my mother in the ICU in that condition, my world came crashing down.

The doctors and nurses in the ICU are truly wonderful people, but above all, I want to single out one nurse in particular: Rosana Goñi. From day one, she showed deep concern for my mother's health and condition. I also want to express my gratitude for the warmth and personal care she extended to our entire family.

When you have a family member, and in this case, your own mother, hospitalized, you want to know absolutely everything about their condition and situation. The doctors would come by, and sometimes their explanations felt a bit too technical or distant to us... Rosana, however, possessed infinite patience; she would explain things to us time and again, a thousand times over, if necessary, until we fully understood.

It was a true comfort to have people like her by our side during such difficult times.
