Rongjuan (RJ) Zhang, BSN, CEN, CPEN, TCRN

RJ was amazing!!!  She was treating my wife with a chronic UTI.  She was very compassionate and patient. She would take the time to listen to her since my wife had a stroke 13 years ago, and sometimes the words don’t come out fast enough, or the words would get stuck. She always let my wife know what was next and when she was doing something with her every step of the way.  She was communicating with my daughter and me, constantly answering all our questions and taking notice of all our concerns.  I was very impressed that she was also willing to learn from us working with my wife’s stoma.  I truly feel that my wife was treated as a patient and not just a number.  We were amazed at how well she communicated with her co-workers to make things happen.  We are honored to have RJ as our nurse!
    
Keep in mind that my wife is 77 years old, and we were back in the ER a week and a half later.  She was asking about RJ, her nurse.  That is a sure sign that she made a lasting impression!
