Ian is constantly here setting up ambulance rides, organizing discharges, and making sure patients are set up to go home or to their ECF before he leaves every day. He is a salaried employee who is scheduled to leave by 4:30 pm, but he is here after 5 pm on a regular basis.

Today, Ian stayed until well after 6 pm to set up a new living location for my patient, who came from an ECF and was very unhappy with the care she was receiving there. My patient’s DPOA and friend had advocated for the patient as she was not able to do so herself. They wanted her to be able to maintain relationships and have home stability in her new living situation. Ian's staying to help, going above and beyond, and providing excellent service to these patients makes him the most deserving RN for this award.
