Rona is always calm, reassuring, kind, and compassionate
Six years ago my life took a turn which was a life-threatening diagnosis of Myelofibrosis. Throughout my last six years with this diagnosis, my Nurse, Rona Earl, has been by my side to assist me and my family through this. From my first weekly visits to the clinic until now, she has been a supporting strength in my continued fight.
Rona is always calm, reassuring, kind, and compassionate; Rona has been there for me. She listens to my concerns and worries. She provides me with solutions and recommendations. This is not a one-time occurrence. Any time I need help or have some questions, she returns my calls and investigates getting answers for my questions. In addition to helping me, she has been a link for my family. They can count on her for guidance and connection. She has contributed greatly to me feeling like I am going to visit my family when I go to MGH.
Rona works so well with her team that I always feel I am their primary concern, even though I know they are concerned about many others. That is a real talent and a dedicated professional staff. Rona's people skills and professional skills are top-notch. Besides Bone Marrow Cancer, and my stem-cell transplant, I have had a stroke and two heart attacks. I have never been treated as well as I have been at MGH. This has not been an easy road. Rona has assisted me with dealing with all the side effects of medications and GVH disease.
My daughter is an NP at another hospital and says she wishes her team worked as well as my team at MGH. I recognize Rona for the excellent caregiver she is. I wish all patients could have the care I have received. Rona has made a huge difference in my physical and mental health and wellbeing. She has enabled me in seeing my son married and the birth of three grandchildren. I hope she realized how much she has done for my entire family.
