Robert never skipped a beat if he said he would do something, get something for us. He truly got it done and somehow didn’t forget!
My daughter and I went to the ER for her being lethargic, puking, etc. Robert happened to be our nurse that morning. This is not the first time I’ve met Robert; he was also a nurse for my other daughter (6 months old) when she had similar issues months ago. Roberts’s attitude was absolutely AMAZING, we were with him the entirety of the shift he worked and not once was he annoyed, short fused as many who have a high pile of tasks at hand can sometimes become. His attention to detail, his care, and his worry about the situation at hand with my daughter only being 3 years old was everything a mom could ask for. He was not only a great caretaker but always assured us he was taking the next step to get her better whether that be the next test, medicine, apple juice (a big winner that day to get sugar up), seeing if myself or visitors needed anything. Communication between him and other coworkers was smooth, and everyone knew what needed to be done. Robert never skipped a beat if he said he would do something, get something for us. He truly got it done and somehow didn’t forget! My family & I even days later talk about how great Robert was. I even became a “mini patient,” I’d say by passing out due to not eating, being outdoors at work that morning, and being too worried about my kiddo during an IV (which I never in 25 years would pass out from). He, along with so many others, assisted me, I felt so bad, but he made sure I was taken care of also so I could be there for my kiddo. My daughter ended up getting transferred, but we truly thank Robert for the care he provided at St Mary’s.
