My 8-year-old girl got admitted from the ER around 5 am. The doctor who performed the transfer was with us, ordering tests and labs. When she left, the nurse on shift introduced Rita to us, as she would be our day nurse. As soon as my daughter and I saw her, we knew we were going to have the best time during this hospital stay! Rita immediately made my daughter feel so comfortable and safe being under Rita’s care. My daughter was having a high fever, vomiting, and kidney issues. Diarrhea, a skin rash, and other issues showed up later. Rita was there at any time we needed her or if a new symptom showed up to alleviate any concerns I had and to make sure the doctor in charge what my message.

Rita is so sweet, funny, and genuine, showing her care for the patients. She showed us and made us feel that she cared for my daughter's well-being and for mine as well. She has a huge heart and made us feel loved and cared for. My daughter had an incident where she was about to vomit, and Rita rushed to get something for her to do it, and was there to help her feel better and comfortable. She also made sure the doctor knew right away what was happening to my daughter. Rita made us feel at home. My daughter even wrote her a thank-you note to express her gratitude for her sweet, careful, and humorous way of making the patients feel better. Rita treated us with respect and care, meeting every need we had with a smile. Rita went above and beyond to ensure we felt great, even though we were at the hospital. Rita shows her patients that they are not just another chat on her desk! We love Rita’s care for my daughter and me!
