It is with great pleasure that I nominate Rishad Rashid for recognition as an outstanding nursing student. Rishad is one of the most dedicated and hardworking student nurses I have had the privilege of working with. He demonstrates exceptional commitment to his studies and clinical practice, all while balancing two positions as a paramedic outside of nursing school. His strong work ethic, professionalism, and positive attitude make him a valued member of the healthcare team at NGMC Braselton B1E EOU.

Rishad consistently arrives at clinicals on time and is prepared to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. He interacts with patients in a calm, respectful, and empathetic manner, always preserving their dignity. His communication and collaboration with both peers and staff are exemplary, contributing to a positive and supportive clinical environment.

One notable example of Rishad’s initiative and dedication occurred on several occasions during clinicals. As patient alarms sounded at the beginning of the shift—while nurses were receiving report—Rishad immediately responded, placing patient needs first. Without hesitation, he entered patient rooms, provided assistance, and ensured their safety without waiting for direction. He demonstrated sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and compassion, staying with patients until they were safely settled.

Rishad takes great pride in the care he provides. His clinical skills are strong, and he approaches all tasks—whether it be administering medications, performing challenging IV insertions, or delivering discharge teaching—with confidence and competence. His ability to blend technical skills with a caring demeanor sets him apart as an extraordinary nursing student.
