My daughter was seen in the emergency room on Friday. I wanted to take the time to let the hospital know how wonderful her Nurse, Ricardo Romo, was. My daughter is 16 years old with Down Syndrome and Autism. He was so very kind, patient, and compassionate with her. P was in pain and was very leery and scared of her surroundings. Ricardo took his time and explained and talked to her as he treated her. We learned that he also has a sister with Down Syndrome that he is very close to and could relate to P’s disability. It was very comforting for me as a mother to know that he knew and understood how to handle the situation with her.

Ricardo, if you get to read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You really made a difference that day, and I cannot thank you enough! I will never forget your kindness. God bless you!
