Ms. Fica Etienne's work ethic and dedication to supporting the VA are unwavering. Ms. Etienne's selflessness is evident as she is always available to her unit in times of need, and she approaches every situation with a positive attitude. She is open to learning and growing in her leadership role and demonstrates commitment to supporting nurses and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.

Ms. Etienne actively participates in daily Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) huddles to ensure the needs of our Veterans are met, as well as achieving the goals of the medical center to meet the discharge metrics and improve patient satisfaction. She has played a pivotal role in assisting 6A achieve the organization's metrics while contributing to significant improvements in the 2024 AES.

Ms. Etienne remains a supportive leader, encouraging the team to make positive changes for the benefit of both the Veterans, our staff, and our unit. She inspires her colleagues to do their best every day they come to work and leads by example, stepping in to help when necessary, providing guidance and professional development for nursing staff.

Ms. Etienne upholds nursing best practices and ensures adherence to policies that improve patient outcomes. Ms. Etienne always supports nurses in their emotional and professional well-being.

We are very grateful to have Ms. Etienne in our unit. She brings laughter and joy to both the staff and the Veterans, and she consistently does an amazing job.
