I went to have my baby because I thought I was in labor. Rhonda was my first nurse. I had had her as my nurse before when my baby's heart rate got up high. She is the sweetest, kindest person I could've had as a nurse. I ended up having to be induced because I had preeclampsia, and she was with me the whole time. She was the nurse I had for my epidural, and I was so scared to get it. She held my hand the whole time while I cried because I have severe anxiety. Then she talked to me for an hour after, without my family in there. I felt like she was more of my best friend than my nurse. When she had to go home because her shift was over, she even offered to come back if my baby had not been born yet. I had really terrifying complications with my birth. The cord was wrapped around my baby's neck my baby's heart rate dropped. Even as she was clocking out, when both my baby's and my heart rate dropped, she dropped everything she was doing and came to help with two other nurses. She was absolutely amazing. She ended up coming to meet my baby two days after she was born on the postpartum unit. She was just an all-around great person who helped me through the most terrifying and traumatic experience of my life.
