Rhonda Roberts, BSN

During my stay in the hospital, Rhonda was a true light in a difficult time. From the moment I was admitted, she treated me with compassion, patience, and professionalism. Despite the long hours and demands of her role. She always made me feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Rhonda consistently went above and beyond, whether it was making sure I was comfortable, explaining things in a way I could understand, or simply offering a kind word when  I needed it most.

Her presence brought a sense of calm and comfort that made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. We related to each other on several things, such as both of us serving as medics in the United States Army, and both having a passion to help and serve people. Rhonda was one of the most comforting parts of my stay. She created an instant sense of trust and understanding that made me feel less alone.

I truly believe she embodies everything the DAISY Award winner stands for. Skillful, compassionate care is what separates Rhonda from the other nurses. I feel incredibly lucky to have had her as my nurse.
