Whether through her kind words, her attentive listening, or her unwavering presence, Reeny guided me through the darkest moments of my recovery.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy along with the removal of my axillary nodes. This was an overwhelming and dark time in my life, filled with frustration and despair. After the initial surgery, I opted for breast reconstruction with silicone, but unfortunately, the reconstruction became infected within a few weeks. The doctors had to perform another surgery to remove the implant, plunging me into even deeper distress. Yet, in the midst of this challenging period, one person made an indelible impact on my journey to recovery—Reeny, a nurse who truly became my angel of mercy.

Reeny’s care went far beyond the duties of a typical nurse. From the moment she stepped into my room, her compassionate and empathetic nature was evident. She expertly managed my physical pain, but more importantly, she provided the emotional support that was crucial to my healing. Whether through her kind words, her attentive listening, or her unwavering presence, Reeny guided me through the darkest moments of my recovery.

Reeny’s influence was profound. Her care restored my hope and gave me the strength to keep going, even when I felt like giving up. She helped me believe that life after cancer was not only possible but worth fighting for. Her dedication and kindness extended well beyond what was expected, making her an exceptional nurse.

Reeny embodies the very best qualities in nursing—compassion, dedication, and empathy. Her support was a lifeline during one of the most difficult times in my life. It is with deep gratitude that I nominate Reeny for the DAISY Award. She is truly deserving of this recognition for the extraordinary impact she has on the lives of her patients.
