There have been so many moments like that, when she steps in quietly but makes an enormous difference.
When I first started my cancer journey, I had no idea how much I would come to rely on Becca. She has been my steady guide through every challenge, the one person I know I can count on when things get complicated. She doesn’t just organize care; she brings comfort, clarity, and heart to every step.

One of the biggest examples of this was when I needed to have a chemo desensitization infusion done out of town. I was anxious and overwhelmed, new hospital, new team, and a treatment plan that had already changed because of severe allergic reactions. Becca handled every detail. She coordinated between my oncologist and the out-of-town infusion center, made sure everyone had the right information, and checked on me before, during, and after to be sure everything went smoothly. She turned what could have been one of the most stressful days of my treatment into something manageable and safe.

There have been so many moments like that, when she steps in quietly but makes an enormous difference. She takes time to explain what’s happening, calls to check on me when things get delayed, and never lets me feel like I’m navigating this alone.

Her compassion goes beyond her role; she listens, she encourages, and she genuinely cares. Cancer can make you feel powerless, but Becca gives that sense of calm and hope back. Her kindness, dedication, and attention to detail have made a world of difference in my life. I truly can’t imagine doing this without her.

She is the definition of what the DAISY Award represents: a nurse who not only provides excellent care but does it with heart and humanity.
