She listened to my story and was empathetic to my needs.
I entered the emergency department on May 26, 2020 around 10 AM. The reason for my visit was that I had drunk too much alcohol and I needed help. Upon arrival, I was able to get in immediately. As I sat waiting, I was very unorganized in my thoughts, couldn’t sit still and asked for help immediately.
Raven came to my room and helped call me down. She listened to my story and was empathetic to my needs. She stayed with me for the duration of my visit and gave me clear instructions on what was going to happen next. I was so grateful to have her next to my side and provide me with the services that I needed. I would like to tell her that that was the final day that I drank alcohol again. I am eight months sober, and I have so much appreciation for Raven and Kaiser for helping me detox and feel safe.
