She is someone who cares endlessly for her patients and is someone I aspire to be.
Randi is someone that I look up to as a nurse and as a person. Originally, when I started as an SSNI, I wasn’t assigned to work with her. Randi was asked last minute if she would take me.

Randi was the first person I met here, especially since I am not from Lincoln and I go to Kearney. She accepted me and was the first nurse to take me in. Randi is probably the most selfless and teamwork-oriented nurse I have met. To work with a nurse who has been here for 20+ years and acts as excited to be here as if she had just graduated.

One day, we worked three shifts in a row where we had to float to NICU. Right near shift change, we had a 26-year-old mom needing an emergency C/S. The NICU was understaffed and even sent out an emergency message asking for nurses. Private text messages to individual nurses were even sent out with no “yes” insight. Randi didn’t even hesitate! She said, "I’m staying!"

We already had four babies for the day assigned, and she helped feed everyone’s baby just so that baby could get much-needed NICU help. We even had to come back the next day, and she lives almost an hour away, but that didn’t even cross her mind. She is someone who cares endlessly for her patients and is someone I aspire to be.
