Randy saved my husband’s life when he collapsed unexpectedly during a half-marathon. Randy was a bystander - he wasn’t even on shift as a nurse. He was at the race to watch his wife but leapt into action when his kids pointed out someone had fallen. My husband’s heart stopped. Randy provided immediate mouth-to-mouth and CPR that not only brought my husband back but made all the difference in preventing further damage.

Without Randy and another bystander medic, my husband would not be here or would not have the quality of life that he has. It’s so scary to know that we lost him that day when he was so young and so healthy, but it's such a gift to know that we have him back. We could not be luckier that Randy was there that day. Randy has reached out with support during recovery, and our family is forever grateful for him and his family. We will never be able to thank you enough - without you, we would not be a full family.
