Upon arriving at the hospital, the patient believed she had diverticulitis, only to discover she was impacted by stool. After taking her medication and drinking the "ghastly" fluid, she was unaware that she shouldn’t pass gas, which resulted in her soiling herself and everything around her—from the bed to the floor. This experience left her feeling humiliated and vulnerable.

In her words, Ram made her feel human and treated her with unparalleled gentleness and care. He maintained his kindness and compassion throughout what she described as a "gruesome episode." She emphasized Ram's "big heart" and his ability to make her feel like an "angel" was by her side.

Despite her trauma-related hesitancy towards men, Ram's approach was deeply reassuring. He made her feel as if she were a "baby that missed the diaper," providing a level of care that was profoundly comforting. His actions reminded her that we all have our experiences, and he supported her with dignity and respect.

She experienced a stark contrast with other caregivers shortly afterward, which only highlighted Ram's exceptional demeanor and commitment. She expressed being truly impressed by his friendliness and care, describing him as a "Godsend" for the support he offered during a vulnerable time.

She believes that Ram's embodiment of empathy, respect, and excellence makes him an ideal candidate for the DAISY Award. His dedication has left a lasting impact on her, and I am honored to support this nomination for his outstanding service.
