Rachel is the BEST nurse I have had the pleasure of working with. She is kind, compassionate, and helpful. No task is too big or too small to ask for help with from NGTs, IVs, baths, turns, CT trips, or anything else you can imagine. Rachel is an expert in our ICU, fielding questions from agency, new grads, and even staff members every shift, and somehow always knows where everything is. Rachel is an inspiration to me and anyone who has worked alongside her to become the best nurse they can be. I could never list out the countless tasks and patients she has helped me with over the last 3 years. Not only is she an amazing nurse, but she is also amazing for our unit. Always tidying and organizing to try and keep some order to the countless machines and supplies in an ICU. Lastly, she cares about patients even after their time in the ICU is finished. On more than one occasion, I have seen her look up homeless shelter and food bank resources to give patients or their families. She has even made extra copies to leave on the unit of resources she's found, so other nurses can provide them to their patients. Rachel, thank you so much for your dedication to providing excellent nursing care; it does not go unnoticed.
