My husband was admitted to the hospital with acute pancreatitis. He was there for 12 days. Although his pancreatitis was slowly getting better, his mobility and cognition were not improving. He had difficulty responding to questions and standing on his own. While an MRI was negative for a stroke, my husband was not making the progress we thought he would. Rachel, sensing our frustration, assisted us in making a change to my husband’s attending physician. Rachel went above and beyond in helping us have a Hospitalist assume care for my husband and we were grateful for her intervention. My husband’s medications were reviewed and adjusted, and this made a big difference as he began to get better. Rachel also provided exceptional care, is dedicated, caring, and shows true compassion and empathy, and always with a smile! She is very committed to her patients. We are truly blessed to have received care from her!
