Rachel went above and beyond during one of the scariest moments my husband and I have ever faced during his hospitalization. A rapid response was called in the midst of chaos, and Rachel remained calm, attentive, and fast-acting.

It's clear she is not only skilled but fully present and committed to making sure my husband receives the best care. What set her apart, though, was that after the rapid response, when things settled, she didn’t just move on to her next task. She came back and explained what had happened, what tests were being done, why, and what the next steps were.

Her ability to communicate clearly and compassionately helped ease my fears and brought me so much comfort when I was overwhelmed with worry. Rachel exemplifies what it means to be a nurse! Not just in critical thinking, but in her genuine compassion. We will never forget her care and kindness during that moment!
