Professor Harriss builds collaborative and trusting relationships with both students and colleagues. She has always made herself available when I’ve needed guidance, whether for personal challenges impacting my academic life or simply to better understand the course material. Her fairness, patience, and kindness have created a supportive environment where I’ve felt valued and empowered. I’m incredibly grateful to have had her as my advisor throughout nursing school.

Dr. Harriss went above and beyond every step of the way to ensure that all the students in her class not only passed, but became the best nurses that we could be within the mental health field. She was always available to help me in any way, be it through email, text, or face-to-face conversation. When I was struggling in other classes, Dr. Harriss was the first to encourage me and tell me that I could do it.
