She became a confidant to talk to and a shoulder to cry on during the most traumatic experience of my life. Rachel was always there for me.
I suffered a massive heart attack and required quadruple bypass surgery. Due to complications with my vitals, I was kept sedated for the first 7 days after the operation. My daughters who were visiting informed me later that Rachel had been by my side all day, every day, monitoring vitals, caring for not only myself but for them. When I was finally allowed to wake up, Rachel was one of the first faces I saw. Throughout the next 2 weeks in the intensive care unit, Rachel would even come in on her days off to check on me. She became a confidant to talk to and a shoulder to cry on during the most traumatic experience of my life. Rachel was always there for me. She became my rock that anchored me during my stay. On the day I was discharged Rachel brought her husband and daughter in to help say goodbye to me and even packed me a little lunch to bring to the rehab center. Since that time, she has stayed in touch through text messaging and continues to be a great source of comfort and advice. Rachel is not only a great nurse but also a great person and new friend. I honestly do not think I could have made it through this entire experience without her. She is an angel. She is a godsend. She is a blessing.
