I am honored to nominate Phuong Vu for the DAISY Award. During one of the most difficult times of my life- dealing with cancer and the complications that come with chemotherapy- Phuong has been a constant source of support, strength, and kindness. From the moment I met her, she made me feel safe and cared for. Her empathy is unmatched; she never fails to check in, offer words of encouragement, and go above and beyond in anticipating my needs as a patient to ensure I’m comfortable, heard, and well-advocated for. Phuong is truly an angel walking among us. She carries herself with such humility and grace, always putting others first and never seeking recognition for the light and pure joy she brings to those around her. Her presence brings comfort in moments of fear, and her compassion has had a lasting impact on my journey towards physical and emotional healing. She is a valuable asset to all those fortunate enough to know her. I am endlessly grateful for her care and guidance. She embodies everything the DAISY Award represents.
