The Rumford ER had multiple MVAs. One of these MVAs left a family of eight without transportation or a place to go. Penny went above and beyond in helping her patients with hotel phone numbers and getting them transportation to the hotel and to the shop where their car was towed to retrieve their belongings. Penny is kind-hearted and goes above expectations in her patient care.

Penny was working in the ED when a family from out of state was involved in an awful car accident. This left six members of the family stranded while one was being transferred out as a trauma. Four were small children. It was late at night on a holiday weekend. There were no taxis or rental cars available for the family to get around in or even to get them all to the local hotel for the night. Penny, as always, went above and beyond for this family. She lent them her car to go and get food for the kids and to transport everyone back to the hotel. She worked collaboratively with the team and family team and family to get them safe. I am always proud to work with her.
