Our family arrived in the ICU after our son's transplant. We were scared! He was a tangle of tubes and beeping machines. Paula was incredible! The first thing I noticed was, even though he was in complete medical paralysis and tubed; she explained to him by name what she was doing. This profound act of dignity for my son reassured me that our family was in great hands! Paula not only cared for him - she cared for our family. She reassured us that she had his care... we needed to take care of ourselves by getting rest. Her professionalism and attention led me to rest! We are so grateful for Paula.
