I believe Paula is a perfect example of what a nurse should be at MMH, and she is the perfect example of a DAISY Award recipient.
My wife has delivered all three of our children at MMH. With our youngest two boys, Paula has been our delivery nurse, and with our oldest, Paula was our nurse in the Mom/Baby Unit. Each of our times in dealing with Paula, she has been polite, caring, positive, and encouraging. Paula has been educational and informative. She has never rushed us through anything and has always been willing to answer our questions. Once Paula remembered my wife as we began to get settled into our room, it was as if she treated my wife as her own daughter. Paula is very professional yet is so kind and thoughtful. My hope is that every mother delivering a baby at MMH has an experience that we did with Paula. I believe Paula is a perfect example of what a nurse should be at MMH, and she is the perfect example of a DAISY Award recipient. The day after Paula was our nurse in LDR, she came over to MBU to check on us. That sealed the deal for us!
