February 2026 Honoree
Patrick Johnson, RN
Patrick came in and took over care. He made sure the bed was always down when finished, and he had a good manner - always telling him what he was doing, and when he would wake and fight the machines, he had great phrases, some of which I started using to calm him and get him a little compliant.
Nothing threw him; he was always on top of the game, aware of what was needed and anticipating what might be needed next. He was a calming presence in the room. He was great about sharing what he was doing and why.
Patrick appeared to be a good mentor and teacher and never let my questions or presence bother him. He helped calm the family without even knowing it.
Nothing seemed to shake him, and his demeanor was so appreciated. His tops were noted, and we enjoyed them because they brought smiles to our faces, as they could always evoke a happy memory and a smile.
Thank you for always bringing your “A” game!
